---- — The Board of Directors of the Rush County Community Foundation recently elected two new board members. Diana White and Phillip Morgan graciously accepted the opportunity to serve on the Foundation board. Their terms began on Jan. 1, 2014. Diana will be replacing retiring board member Dahl Petry, who completed his term in December 2013, and Phillip will fill an open position on the board from December 2012.

Diana is a lifelong resident of Rush County and currently resides in Carthage with her husband Mark. She works at JM Manufacturing in Rushville and is an active member of the Fletcher United Methodist Church in Carthage. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding and farming with her husband on the family farm.

Diana decided to accept a position on the Foundation board because, “It’s a wonderful opportunity to support the communities and residents of Rush County.”

Phillip currently serves as the Chief Deputy Prosecutor for Rush County. He is a lifelong Rush County resident, and he and his wife Jamie have two sons, Jack and Gus. Phillip is the President of the Rush County Bar Association and a member of the First Baptist Church. He enjoys flying airplanes and traveling.

When asked why he agreed to serve as a Foundation board member he said, “Growing up in Rush County, I witnessed firsthand the tremendous impact the Foundation has on our community. I was honored to be asked to serve as a board member.”

J.B. Gardner, President of the Board stated, “We are excited to welcome Phillip and Diana as our new board members. Their varied backgrounds will allow them to bring fresh ideas and leadership to our board to help guide the Foundation as we continually look to the future of our organization. On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Dahl for his commitment and service. The Foundation has been fortunate to have Dahl serve on the board for two terms and we look forward to his continued service as a member of various committees.”
