---- — As students count down the days until school is out, they made need to recount and add a few days.
Graduation for Rushville Consolidated High School students was set for June 1, 2014, but will now be June 8, due to snow day make-ups and grade preparation.
"Graduation just can't happen overnight," superintendent Dr. John Williams stated. "Kids have to take their final exams and we have to do final grading. Then we do cross examination and a final check before things are ready to go. It's take time and accuracy counts."
The school system had four built in snow days, but have missed nine days. Two of those days were wavered, so seven must be made up. The last day of school is scheduled for May 28.
"May 28 is our last day assuming we have no more snow days," Williams said. "At the school board meeting last night it was decided that each day would be added onto the end of the year. We will not be taking any days away from their spring break it will all just be added after May 28."
