Two Indianapolis men were taken into custody by Rush County Sheriff Department deputy Doug Keith west of Rushville on SR 44 shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
David C. Squires Jr., 22, of Indianapolis, and Albert James Campbell, 22, also of Indianapolis, are facing multiple drug related charges.
Squires is charged with dealing a Schedule I, II or III drug and dealing marijuana.
Campbell is charged with dealing a Schedule, II or III drug, possession of marijuana and dealing marijuana.
Both Indianapolis men are being held on $60,000 bonds.
According to the arresting officer, a multi-agency effort was orchestrated and controlled buy was set up in the rural community of Manilla.
“Once the drug transaction was complete Rush County deputy Josh Brinson radioed other officers and a stop of the suspect vehicle was made,” Keith said.
Assisting in the investigation and the arrest were units from the RCSD and Shelby County Sheriff’s Department.
Squires and Campbell will be formally arraigned in Rush County at a later time.
