The Rushville Breakfast Optimist Club will hold its 22nd annual 4th of July Car Show in less than two weeks. Entries have been coming in since the first part of May and, as usual, some of the sharpest cars around will be featured in North Memorial Veterans Park located west of State Road 3. Registration starts at 8 a.m. and awards will be presented at 3 p.m.
CWB (Crazy White Boy) aka Chris Bachelder will be the DJ for the show as he has the past several years – spinning the tunes many remember from the 1950s and 1960s. CWB is a special draw at many of the car shows in East Central Indiana and warmly welcomes many of the drivers and their significant others as they drive in to park their cars. Speaking of parking, remember this car show offers lots of shade, great food, a 50/50 drawing, great looking T-shirts, a terrific park with some of the newest and best playground equipment for the little ones, nearby swimming pool and some of the most Optimistic people in the country!
There will be a special fundraising promotion held this year with the winner taking home the opportunity to purchase a set of tires from the Big O Tire Store in Rushville as the prize will be up to $450 off the purchase of a set of four tires.
For additional information contact Shirley Biehl at 765-645-5410. If you own a car and want to enter the show, call Biehl before Wednesday for the special price.
Dash plaques will be available to the first 35 cars.
If you just want to come out and enjoy the day, the music, great food and the crowd with the cars stop by the registration booth and see what’s happening at the Rushville Breakfast Optimist Club’s 22nd annual Fourth of July Car Show.
There is also a cruise-in scheduled for July 3 at the Country Cooker Restaurant parking lot located at the corner of Harcourt Way and Main Street in Rushville.
