If customer reaction is any indicator, Rushville’s newest restaurant, the Cozy Table Family Restaurant, 732 N. Main Street, should enjoy many years of doing business in Rush County.
“This is exactly what Rushville needs,” Debbie Grocox said as she ate her lunch.
“You’ve got to try the chicken bow tie soup,” another patron urged. “It is delicious.”
The Cozy Table is owned and operated by Kellie Biehle and Jimmy “The Greek” Kolios.
She’s from North Vernon and formerly worked for Jim Dandy Restaurants, Inc.
Kolios has been cooking for the past 25 years and has worked in Chicago, Michigan and Indiana.
The menu at the new eatery is surprisingly large and offers a wide variety of items including a full breakfast menu, pasta dishes, steaks, ribs, sandwiches, desserts and a host of salads and sides.
There’s also a kids menu.
“We’re here for breakfast, lunch and dinner,” Kolios said. “We specialize in homestyle foods, skillets, made-from-scratch soups ... you’re gonna get big portions, I can guarantee you that.”
Open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week, the Cozy Table is a non-smoking facility that aims to be “very family friendly.”
The restaurant opened Tuesday and business has been good.
“We’re very glad to be here,” Biehle said. “Things have been going very well, even better than we expected.”
