July 26 will be a night of rock and roll, disco and everything in between as the Black Voodoo Band and Zanna-Doo! rock Riverside Park Amphitheater.
The two Indianapolis bands have drastically different set lists, but share the fact that a husband and wife team front the dynamic and seasoned groups.
Benito DiBartoli, frontman of the Black Voodoo Band, has been playing guitar for 20 years. He’s performed in a wide range of musical acts, from girl-fronted disco bands to three-piece blues bands. Currently, he’s playing with Chris Shaffer and The Why Store. The Black Voodoo Band has opened for Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Molly Hatchet, Ted Nugent and ZZ Top to name a few.
Benito’s wife Zanna fronts Indy-based Zanna-Doo!, a high-energy dance band with soulful vocals and rock-solid beats. Their set list, which includes everything from “Lady Marmalade” to “Material Girl” is guaranteed to keep fans moving all night long with genres including disco, motown, ‘90s and Top 40. Zanna-Doo! is has opened for Otis Day and the Knights and Big and Rich.
Zanna, along with Anne Balbo, also on lead vocals, Michael “Bone” Read on vocals and keyboard, Greg Gardner on bass and Philip Powers on drums, promise this is one concert in which lawn chairs will be optional and dancing shoes required.
