This year marks the golden anniversary of the RHS class of 1958, and the silver anniversary of the class of 1983. Plans are underway for the 51st annual reunion banquet.
The RHS/RCHS Alumni Association Scholarship Award, created 15 years ago, needs financial support. Alumni are asked to forward any contribution to the Alumni Association along with your banquet reservation. Please make your contribution to the RHS/RCHS Alumni Scholarship Fund. This year, three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded, and the fund will not continue to grow without your help!
Emy and the late Bob Waggener helped to establish an aspect of the Endowed Education Fund called “Thanks for the Memories” as a part of the Rush County Community Foundation a few years ago. This is a way for every alumnus to remember teachers, classmates and special school experiences with a donation. For information, write to RCCF, 117 North Main Street, Rushville, IN 46173, or call 765-938-1177.
The Alumni Association depends on annual dues from alumni members to handle mailing and other activities, so dues are asked to be included with banquet reservations. Dues are to be forwarded to the Association even if you’re not planning to attend this year’s event. The Alumni Association address is P.O. Box 134, Rushville, IN 46173.
This year’s gathering will be at 6 p.m. June 14 at the Rushville Elementary School Cafeteria. Cost is $12 per person in advance, $15 per person without a reservation. Dues are $10. Reservations must be made by June 6. Doors open at 5 p.m. and guests are asked to list names of those attending so that name tags may be prepared.
