A belated thanks

RUSHVILLE —

Dear Editor: On Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, our community once again rallied together for a family. For a worthy cause. To remember one who will never be forgotten. Michael Keith Day at Stagg’s Restaurant and Dairy Treats was again a success. Beginning in 2003, Stagg’s made the decision to find yet another way to give back to the community. Holli Spaeth Day was created to remember a very special girl who also happened to be an employee at Stagg’s. A scholarship fund was created at the Rush County Community Foundation. By donating 10 percent of the sales from that day, Stagg’s has set a precedent for giving. This giving continued in 2004 with the first Michael Keith Day. In the years since, many people have felt prompted to give above and beyond their “food purchase” for the day. For all of these things we want to say thank you! Thanks to all of you for coming to Stagg’s and supporting this family-owned business (FOR 50 YEARS NOW). Thanks to those of you who knew Michael and are determined with us to keep his memory alive. It is by the grace of God and your prayers that we move on. Joe and Mary Jo Keith Carolyn Keith Michele and Marc Houston, Grant Julie and Charlie Miramonti, Izzy and Cash Melinda and Doug Miller, Meredith, Mallory, and Max Melissa and Dan Miller, Gabe, Mya, Nate, and Lyla Jeff and Nichole Stagg Mary Keith and Adam Dollarhide Kanyon Keith, Kara Ging and Maleah Brandon Crain and Brynnlee Stagg’s Restaurant and Dairy Treats (Carol, Marsha, Paul, and Milly)
