Dear Editor:

I am a 15-year-old girl who is an animal lover. After hearing about people who abuse their animals I couldn’t believe it. There’s a person who goes to my school who blew up a cat. It’s horrible. Animal abuse needs to stop NOW.

All animals are just like people. They hurt, love, feel sad, angry and hopeless. They get thirsty and hungry. Animals have a right to live a full life. God put animals on this world. He didn’t put them on here to beat, torture, shave their fur off to sell, then kill them after or make them suffer. It’s just not right.

A lot of animals go through this every day. They get neglected by their starvation, dehydration, allowing color to grow into their skin, and don’t take them to the vet when they need medical care or anything else that can harm them in anyway. Put yourself in their shoes; think of how you would feel if that were you getting abused.

Please stop animal abuse for the sake of the animals in this world. Let them live; they deserve it.
