RUSHVILLE — NEW CASTLE – New Castle Pediatrics, located at 1000 N. 16th Street in New Castle, was recently honored with a Star Performer Award from MDwise, Indiana’s only nonprofit managed health care organization serving Hoosiers covered by the Hoosier Healthwise, Healthy Indiana Plan and Care Select health programs. The office received this recognition for going above and beyond to provide high levels of quality and service to patients.

“New Castle Pediatrics exemplifies the very good work our provider offices are doing and we are proud to have a partnership with them,” said Caroline Carney Doebbeling, chief medical officer of MDwise. “The Star Performer Award recognizes the providers in our network who are exceptional in their delivery of services and are committed to continuous improvement in providing ‘the Best Care’.”

MDwise sought out specific criteria when selecting the Star Performer honorees, including achieving measures of clinical performance, best practice implementation, patient outreach and compassion, as well as having a shared passion for quality throughout the office.

To further recognize the hard work of these individuals, MDwise has launched web pages that will feature interviews with staff from each honored office. The content of the interviews will range from what inspires each honoree to how it felt to receive the recognition. To read those interviews as they are posted, go to MDwise.org/starperformers.
