ASC announces fundraising results

Rushville Republican

---- — INDIANAPOLIS — American Senior Communities raised $227,730 this year for the Alzheimer’s Association, the largest amount contributed in Indiana by a single company in a calendar year.

The amount includes funds raised by ASC’s participation in Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walks statewide, along with ASC’s annual corporate sponsorship. ASC has more than 60 communities that support the fundraising effort.

Most of ASC’s communities offer specialized memory care. “The Alzheimer’s Association does invaluable work. As a senior healthcare provider, we understand the importance of what they do and consider it an honor to support them in every way possible,” said ASC’s Chief Operating Officer Dan Benson.

Each American Senior Communities location set fundraising goals and raised money by holding contests, auctions, bake sales, food sales, raffles, bazaars, donations/contributions or other fundraising activities for employees and the public.

“Every person who worked as a team member, attended an event, bought a raffle ticket, bought a pie at a bake sale, or donated their time in any way was part of this chain of success that is benefiting a great organization,” said Benson.
