---- — Alzheimer’s Support Group –For family and caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Group meets on the last Monday of the month. Next meeting will be July 28 at 6:30 p.m in Classroom 2. For more information, please call 317-575-9620.

Bariatric Support Group- Meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. The next meeting will be July 15. There is no charge and registration is not required. Attendance at support group meetings is considered part of the treatment following bariatric surgery but attendance is highly encouraged for individuals who have an interest in bariatric surgery and want to learn more from those that have already had surgery. Meetings are held in the Bariatric Center at Hancock Regional Hospital, located on the lower level adjacent to the Rehabilitation Department. For more information, call (317) 325-BARI (2274).

Better Breathers – For persons with COPD and other chronic respiratory disorders. The group meets the first Wednesday of every month. The next meeting is Wednesday, July 2nd from 12:30 - 3:00 p.m. in the Robert C. Keen classroom (classroom 3) at Hancock Regional Hospital, 801 N. State St., Greenfield. Breastfeeding Support - Meet other breastfeeding moms in a fun and informal environment. No appointment necessary, just drop in if you are pregnant or nursing. Certified lactation consultants are present to offer support and guidance while you and your baby are getting to know each other. Group intended only for moms and nursing babies or children. Meetings are held every Monday except holidays. July dates are the 7, 14, 21, and 28 from 11 a.m. to noon in Classroom 1, lower level at Hancock Regional Hospital, 801 North State Street, Greenfield. Cancer Circle – For people with cancer and cancer survivors. This group meets the third Wednesday of the month, July 16, at 6:30 p.m. in Classroom 2 in the lower level of the hospital. For more information, call Suzanne Walker at 317-462-5599.

Diabetes Monthly - Support group for those living with diabetes and those who care for them. Group meets on the third Monday, July 21, from 7 to 8 p.m and the third Tuesday, July 15 from 1- to 2 p.m. at Hancock Wellness Center, 888 W. New Rd. Greenfield. Please call 468-4379 for more information.

Drop-In Grief Group - In this free drop-in group, we welcome everyone who is experiencing grief as a result of losing a loved one. Come be with others who are traveling the same road. The group is designed as a drop-in group so that participants can be free to come whenever they need support—no commitment required. Questions? Mom & Baby Support Group – For all mothers with babies less than 2 years old. Come with baby to a casual group setting to meet other moms that are experiencing the same issues and concerns that you are! Groups are lead by an experienced healthcare professional who is also certified in lactation, so breastfeeding support is also offered. Scales will be available to monitor weight. Group meets Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m. except holidays. Meeting dates are July 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31. Group meets in a lower level classroom at Hancock Regional Hospital, 801 N. State St, Greenfield. Lupus Support - People with lupus often feel alone with their disease and the everyday struggles that the disease brings to their lives, especially during times when the disease is active. The philosophy of Lupus Foundation of America support groups is to provide a warm and caring environment where people with lupus, their family members, caregivers, and loved ones can share their experiences, methods of coping, and insights into living with this chronic illness. MS Support Group – For individuals affected by Multiple Sclerosis, as well as spouses, caregivers, and family members. This group meets the second Saturday of each month. Senior Caregivers - This group is for seniors who are caring for other seniors. Spouses and siblings often find themselves trying to provide care for another senior citizen and that poses special challenges. This group offers the benefits of mutual support with the information you need to provide care in your special circumstance. Attendees will also appreciate the expertise of a social worker who facilitates the group. This facilitator has worked with the aging population of the community for 10 years and can help connect you with the resources our area offers. This group meets on the fourthth Tuesday of every month except July. The next meeting will be August 26. This is a FREE group but registration is requested. Please call 468-4185 to register.
