First Annual Walk for Alzheimer's in Knightstown

The First Annual Walk for Alzheimer’s in Knightstown is being held Sept. 7 in conjunction with the Knightstown Hoosier Fall Festival. Home Helpers is looking for potential sponsors to partner with in order to carry out this event. Sponsorship levels are available for Gold at $150 or Silver for $75. Every year one in three seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or dementia. This disease can cause great stress and anxiety among family members. The Alzheimer’s Association promotes research and provides resources, training and education for the public and healthcare professionals. All proceeds from the walk with benefit The Alzheimer’s Association of Indiana.

The Walk for Alzheimer’s will begin at 9 a.m. Sept. 7 on Knightstown’s National Road Heritage Trail off of 40 just east of Knightstown. For directions go to www.hchcin.org/nrhtr.html. Entry fee $15.
