Walking allows time to see things we otherwise miss. The Fitness Initiative Team is part of the community. This homegrown project will be part of RushFest Saturday, Sept. 29.
That morning you are encouraged to participate in the Rushville Rotary Club’s 5K Run and Walk. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. by the RCHS gymnasium. Finish the day with a F.I.T. Walkabout Celebrate RushFest in Riverside Park. Meet at 2 p.m. at the lion by the amphitheater.
As a part of the F.I.T. Walkabout program, Anytime Fitness has invited all participants to visit them at 222 S. Main Street each Friday at 5 p.m. This is a change in time from the past two months. They do ask non-members to sign the guest register.
In case of weather conflicts, all of the outdoor walks will be canceled. Questions about this program can be directed to Gracie Marlatt, extension educator with Purdue Extension in Rush County at 932-5974.
