n Franklin County Community School Corporation teachers will be available for parent-teacher conferences from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today. Students will not attend school Thursday. Friday is fall break. For information contact the principal of the building your child attends.

n The Interlocal CAP, Inc. Board of Directors of will meet at 6 p.m. today at the Greenfield Senior Center.

n Rush County Players will host the “Haunted Trail of Terror” at Riverside Park Amphitheater from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Cost $7. There will also be a kid-friendly zone in the amphitheater featuring a variety of scare-free fun. Cost is $5, or can be paired with the trail for a special cost of $10. The haunted trail will be a drop-off point for Coats for Kids, so bring a new or gently-used coat for donation. For more information call 765-938-1711 or visit www.rushcountyplayers.org.

FRIDAY (10/23)

n There will be a special meeting of the Rush County Solid Waste Management District at 9 a.m. Friday in the Commissioners Room of the Rush County Courthouse.

SATURDAY (10/24)

n Scottypaluzza, a benefit for cancer patient Scott Brooks, will take place starting at 5 p.m. Saturday with a hog roast at the Rushville Elks and K of C. Live music, DJs, and more. Open to the public.

n The Rushville Friends of the Library will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday. The meeting will last one hour. All interested persons are invited to attend. Refreshments and child care will be provided.

n Bobby Holmes Benefit Bike Ride will be Saturday. Sign up 11 a.m.; leave Rushville Eagles at noon, to Knightstown American Legion, Pit Stop at Carthage, back to Eagles for food, music, auction. Bobby has been diagnosed with cancer. He is a member of the Rushville Eagle Riders and has participated in fundraisers for others. Auction donations accepted.
