Franklin College has announced new Student Congress representatives for the 2009-2010 school year.
Student Congress plans and promotes campus activities for Franklin students to enjoy. It also acts as a collective voice for the student body in communications with the administration using representatives from each class. The representatives choose how students’ funding will be divided and bring the concerns of the students to the attention of faculty and staff. It has been active in establishing new residence hall visitation policies, creating a Dining Services Advisory Board and organizing a campus-wide food and clothing drive.
New freshman class representatives:
Matt Brems, son of Bill and Nora Brems of Cleves, Ohio.
Alaina Hauk, daughter of Robert and Terri Hauk of Shelbyville.
Hanni Reynolds, daughter of William and Vilma of Hobart.
New senior class representative:
Lindsey Brand, daughter of Michael and Mary Brand of Greenwood.
New residence hall representatives:
Kara Hudson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Hudson of Rising Sun, for Elsey Hall.
Josh Cratty, son of Jodi Craig of Greenwood, for Hoover/Cline Hall.
Ashley O’Gara, daughter of James and Marilyn O'Gara of Indianapolis, for Johnson Dietz Hall.
Megan Grant, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Grant of Charlottesville, for Dietz Center.
New commuter students representative:
Melissa Hannebaum, daughter of Chandy Wilcoxon of Nineveh and Scott Hannebaum of Houston, Texas.
