n Sign-ups for the fourth grade Girl Scouts troop will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the Girl Scouts cabin located at 1321 North Sexton Street.

n Sign-ups for the fourth grade Girl Scouts troop will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the Girl Scouts cabin located at 1321 North Sexton Street. The troop plans to meet the second and fourth Tuesday evenings of the month. Registration fee is $12. Any questions can be directed to Bernice Meyer at (765) 561-0855.
n The Milroy Research Literary Club will meet at 7 p.m. today. Norma King will be in charge of the program.
WEDNESDAY (10/14)
n Hint Hunters Homemakers Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Betsy Fox, 1109 North Main Street, Rushville, with Rochelle Christan as cohostess. Roll call will be favorite Halloween movie and program “Staying Healthy by Staying Fit” will be given by Betsy Fox.
n The Rushville Chapter of DAR will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Priscilla Winkler's. Martha Barnhart, state Regent will present the program. The Twin Forks chapter will be guests.
n American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 150 will have its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Legion Post in Rushville. Discussion topics will be community programs and budget. We look forward to seeing all past and present Auxiliary members and anyone interested in what the Auxiliary is doing here in the community.
n Rushville Music Study Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Rushville. Please note the change of location.
THURSDAY (10/15)
n The Boys & Girls Club of Rush County will be closed Thursday and Friday for training. The Earlybird will not be available during this time. If questions call William Walker at 932-2765.
n Rush County Health Department will hold a senior screening from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Carthage Community Building. Health education will be included. Referrals to private physicians will be made when needed. This is available to all Rush County senior citizens at no cost. For those not in the Carthage area, screening will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 15 in Room 105 of the courthouse.
