The Easthills set to open for REO Speedwagon

Band with Rush County roots added to Muncie and Normal, Ill., tour dates with legendary rock band

The Easthills, who boast 4 out of 5 members from Rush County, will open for chart-topping, classic rock band, REO Speedwagon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at Emens Auditorium in Muncie. The show will feature a hit-filled set by REO boasting such fan-favorites such as “Keep On Loving You,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Roll with the Changes,” “Time for me to Fly,” and “Take It On the Run” and many more. The Easthills will open the show, and will also serve as support for REO’s Friday, June 27 concert in Normal, Ill., as well.

Tickets are on sale now for the Muncie show at the Emens Auditorium box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, charge-by-phone at (800) 745-3000 or online at Ticketmaster.com. Formed in 1967, signed in 1971, and fronted by Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon has rocked to the top of the charts with a RIAA-certified 22 million albums sold in the U.S., 40 million around the globe, and a string of gold and platinum records. The group’s nine-times certified platinum Hi Infidelity spent 15 weeks in the #1 slot. Thirty–plus years later, Cronin and bandmates Bruce Hall (bass), Neal Doughty (keyboards), Dave Amato (lead guitar) and Bryan Hitt (drums) are still electrifying concert audiences across the nation.

Indiana based band The Easthills released their debut album, Death of a Salesman, in 2013. Big harmonies and big guitars make for a big splash for The Easthills. The band has quickly gained notoriety across the Midwest having toured with, or supported, the likes of Fastball, Meat Puppets, Here Come the Mummies, Black Owls, Big Head Todd, Ian McLagan and Ted Leo and the Pharmacists among others.
