Family Comedy coming July 12 to help RMH Pediatrics

RUSHVILLE — They say that laughter is the best medicine. We will all have a chance to get a big dose of laughter when the Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation Seed Circle sponsors a Family Comedy Night on Friday, July 12. The RMH Foundation has been working to raise $670,000 for the new Pediatric Office Building located at 1339 North Cherry Street in Rushville. To help raise these funds the ladies of the RMHF Seed Circle are bringing to town two very funny comedians.

Scott Gregory has been in comedy for many years. His resume includes stints on HBO, TBN, ABC, colleges, comedy clubs, churches, and corporate venues across the country. Scott has opened for Tim Allen, Jeff Foxworthy, Dove and Grammy Award winner David Phelps and appeared with Sandi Patti and Mark Schultz. His clean and clever comedy “tickles your funny bone” and “touches your heart.”

Craig Tornquist has performed more than 2,500 stand-up comedy shows nationwide. His quick wit, celebrity impressions, novelty songs, and audience participation have made him a fan favorite. Craig has opened shows for Jay Leno, Sinbad, Lee Greenwood, and has headlined for thousands at corporate conventions and youth conferences. David Letterman once told Craig “Keep your act clean, practice as often as you can, and never give up.”  Craig continues today to keep the comedy coming for all ages to enjoy.

Friday, July 12, 2013 the two comedians can bee seen at the RushShelby Energy Building located at the Rush County Fairgrounds, 1200 block of north Sexton street. Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for kids age 17 and under, and $60 for a family package (includes 2 adults and 2 children). Tickets can be purchased at the Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation Office (located on the first floor of the hospital) or at MainSource, Wells Fargo, and Citizens State banks in Rushville. Tickets are also available from RMH Foundation Board members and Seed Circle members. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the presentation of the first annual Rush County Youth Volunteer of the Year Award presented by the Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation. The two comedians will follow.

“These two comedians will leave you holding your sides and smiling all the way home. They have great big hearts for helping kids and we are so excited to have both of these men of their comedic caliber coming to Rushville to help raise money for our new Pediatric Office building. It will be a wonderful evening for family fun right here at home. You won’t want to miss it. Get your tickets now,” stated Faith Mock, executive director of the Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation.
