The Rushville Music Study Club met at 7 p.m., Oct. 9, at the Rushville United Methodist Church with 12 members and one associate member in attendance The secretary’s and teasurer’s reports were read and approved. With no major business at hand, the program committee proceeded with a delightful selection of music from the 1940s.
Nancy Badger shared two numbers on her violin; “Bell Bottom Trousers” from the Big Band era and “Always” a long remembered popular song.
Other numbers included vocals singing; “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree” a war-time favorite, Chattanooga Choo Choo,” “As time Goes By” from the movie Casablanca, “Oh What a Beautiful Morning” from Oklahoma and White Christmas,” a chart topping Christmas song. All joined in on, “You Are My Sunshine.”
Delicious refreshments in keeping with the season were served by Louise Krick and Nancy Badger.
