RCP Annual Membership Meeting and Hammy Awards Saturday

The Rush County Players (RCP) is busy preparing for its annual membership meeting and Hammy Award presentation Saturday. Everyone is invited to attend.

The annual membership meeting will focus on the 2012-2013 accomplishments and to look forward to RCP’s “New Beginning” which is the 2013-2014 focus for the group. Outgoing president Lisa Boaz reminds the RCP membership that this is the best opportunity to receive pertinent information firsthand and is encouraging all members to attend.

The meeting will take place at the Knights of Columbus (K of C) in Rushville on Saturday, Aug. 17, and the attire for the evening is business casual or better. The K of C will be serving a fried chicken meal which will be $12 each, payable at the door, with prayer to be given promptly at 6 p.m. The membership meeting is expected to begin at approximately 6:30 p.m.

The Hammy Award presentation is expected to begin at 7:15 p.m. where RCP will be serving complementary desserts for all. Show participants are all welcome to attend the Hammy portion of the evening and an open meal invitation is also being offered to show participants as well. (RSVP required) RCP encourages them, along with their families to listen in on the annual meeting to learn more about the organization and to consider a membership. RCP is currently conducting its annual membership drive.

Membership levels and perks have changed this year which include some new ideas to include an annual RCP shirt for some membership levels. Incoming President Matt Amos and Vice President Scott Evans are excited to announce that they are accepting logo designs for this year’s shirt and they are asking to reflect RCP’s “NEW BEGINNING”. All designs will be accepted through Saturday, Aug. 17, at the annual meeting.

To put it simply, RCP is a not-for-profit organization that is suited for family participation of all ages and needs the community’s support, involvement, memberships, and ideas. If you are interested in becoming a member call 765-938-1711 and leave a message. A board members will call you back at their earliest convenience.
