It is official. I have been put under the spell of Mummies.
Here Come The Mummies, a Funk and R&B band known for performing in full mummy attire, rocked the house at The Vogue Saturday night.
Having heard some of their music via The Bob and Tom Show and their website, I wanted to see what their “act” was all about – I was not disappointed.
The high energy performance spanned two hours of non-stop action. From the time they entered from the back of The Vogue playing drums as they marched through the crowd until the final note was played, the Mummies were high energy entertainment.
The performance embraces humor, but what you leave thinking is “this band can really play.”
The band is comprised of a variety of professional musicians based out of Nashville, Tenn. Members of the band record for various labels, but the individual identities are kept “under wraps.”
HCTM have opened for P-Funk and Al Green, played at the Super Bowl Village and attended festivals such as Summerfest.
