Wilkinson book signing Jan. 12

1 to 3 p.m. Hastings, 4601 National Rd E., Richmond

RUSHVILLE — Jim Wilkinson, a resident of Rushville, will be available to sign copies of his book, The Gypsy Dolls, from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 12 at Hastings, 4601 National Rd E., Richmond.

One day, as Don was cleaning a closet, he found a beautifully carved wooden box concealed in a secret compartment. It was a large heavy box. He opened the box and couldn’t believe what he was seeing. Inside were four finely detailed dolls. Each of the dolls held a different musical instrument.

The first held a violin. The second held a cello. The third held a harpsichord. The last held a harp. ...While he looked at the dolls they began to play beautiful soothing music.

When Don buys an old Victorian house nestled near the Smokey Mountains, he has no idea that he’s also bought a fantastical mystery. The dolls that are tucked away in the closet, long-forgotten by some previous owner, will lead him on an adventure that spans the globe as he shares their music with eager audiences. Will he ever learn the history of the dolls and discover the source of their magic? If he found the rightful owner could he bear to part with them? Find out in this charming tale about inspiration, magic, and the power of community as you travel with, The Gypsy Dolls; from the hills of Tennessee to the streets of France.
