---- — INDIANAPOLIS — Feline lovers, theater lovers and entertainment lovers will enjoy a night at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre during the current production of Cats. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, a seven-time Tony Award winner, pounces on the stage through March 30.
Cats is the second longest running show on Broadway and this Indianapolis rendition is not to be missed. This is the first musical of the Beef & Boards season and it will claw its way into your heart.
Pittsboro native Buddy Reeder comes back to Indiana to direct the athletic and colorful cast of characters that jump, soar, climb and fly around the stage and the entire theater.
“Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre holds a very special place in my heart. Being from Pittsboro and graduating from Tri-West in 1989, I was thrilled when I was able to come back and perform in the 2004 Cats as Mongojerrie,” he said. “Not only was it my first show in Indiana since I went to Ball State, but the first show for my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and high school friends to see me perform in since I was a kid. It was a big deal!”
Don’t relax too much when the lights are down, there might just be a feline friend trying to cozy up to a table near you.
The constant movement, artistry and singing catches the attention of the audience from the start and does not conclude until the final note has been sung.
The “cats” feature incredible tumbling and acrobatics and the colorful costumes make the production an unforgettable experience.
