A sparkling holiday tradition live on stage

Seasonal celebration presents new arrangements, effects, set

INDIANAPOLIS – Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre’s annual production, A Beef & Boards Christmas, will have a fresh feel this season as an all-new quartet several fresh arrangements in a glittering celebration of the season on stage Nov. 29 through Dec. 23.

Four members of the highly-acclaimed cast of Les Misérables return to perform this holiday season. Kelly Teal Goyette, who made her Beef & Boards debut in Les Misérables, is the featured vocalist in A Beef & Boards Christmas. Her former cast mates Bobbi Bates, Peter Scharbrough, and Dominic Sheahan-Stahl are joined by newcomer and Indianapolis native Emily Rogge to create the show’s talented quartet. Together they blend beautifully the sounds of the season, while surrounded by skilled dancers in beautiful costumes.

Marking his 20th year with the show is Kenny Shepard, who returns to the stage to co-host A Beef & Boards Christmas with his dear friend and fellow performer Deb Wims. Even Santa is on hand to make it the perfect holiday celebration for the entire family!

While the tradition of the show continues, it will offer an entirely new set that more dramatically highlights the Beef & Boards Orchestra that is on stage throughout the performance. And while the A Beef & Boards Christmas has an overall “Currier & Ives” feeling, according to Ron Morgan who is staging and choreographing the piece, it will also offer a greater technological impact with all-new audio and visual effects.

There are 32 performances of A Beef & Boards Christmas scheduled in the intimate setting of Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre. Tickets range from $37.50 to $62.50 and include Chef Odell Ward’s holiday dinner buffet offering carved turkey and all the trimmings, a fruit & salad bar, unlimited coffee and tea. Student group pricing is available for select performances; ask for details. Parking is free. For reservations, call the box office at 317.872.9664 anytime between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays.
