This year marks the 41st running of Canal Days in historic Metamora.

This annual event is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 2, 3 and 4.

One of Indiana’s most popular festivals, you’ll find hundreds of outside vendors including antiques, artists, crafts and collectibles all along the Whitewater canal and throughout the entire village of Metamora.

You’ll also find extended hours for both canal boat rides and the grain mill.

You can enjoy Metamora Canal Days without worrying about parking by taking a ride on the historic Whitewater Valley Railroad.

Train excursions leave the depot in Connersville at the following times:

Oct. 2: Train departs at 10 a.m. with a two hour layover.

Oct. 3: Train leaves at 10 a.m. with a four hour layover and again at 12:01 p.m. with a two hour layover.

Oct. 4: Train leaves at 10 a.m. with a four hour layover and at 12:01 p.m. with a two hour layover.

Also in October you and your family will want to visit the Metamora Corn Maze!

Every weekend in October you’re invited to “get lost” in this outstanding corn maze. Open from 1 to 5 p.m. every weekend in October the maze is located one mile east of Metamora on U.S. 52 across the road from the Hearthstone Restaurant. Cost is $5.
