Shelle Clapp and Scott Beyer would like to announce their engagement and approaching marriage. The couple is planning an Oct. 9, 2010 wedding at Bunge Arena, Shelby County Fairgrounds, Shelbyville.

The daughter of Rick and Beth Clapp, the bride-elect is a 1994 graduate of Knightstown High School. She currently is a communications supervisor at Rural Metro Ambulance in Indianapolis.

The son of Tom and Mary Beyer, the prospective groom is a 1994 graduate of Waldron High School and a Purdue graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. He currently is in charge of dairy operations at Kelsay Farms in Whiteland.
