Main Street Christian Church

Main Street Christian Church continues its spiritual growth series “Not a Fan” with sermons, a group experience and daily devotional readings. The six-week series by bestselling author Kyle Idleman explores through the differences between a relationship with Jesus Christ that has the description of a fan and that of a committed follower. This Sunday’s message, week 2, “The Open Invitation” will be presented by Director of Youth Zach Dorrel at both the 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. service.

At 7 p.m. Friday evening, May 30, Main Street Christian Church will host organist Martin Ellis for a rededication concert. Mr. Ellis is the organist for North United Methodist Church, Indianapolis, a frequent guest with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and an arranger and keyboard accompanist for the world renown Indianapolis Children’s Choir.

Main Street Christian Church continues to register children ages 3 through fourth grade for their VBS. This year’s event, Son Treasure Island, will offer a light supper at 5:28 p.m. and conclude each evening at 8 p.m. On Friday evening, June 20, the closing program, outdoor Luau and movie will be held. Those desiring to register children may phone the church office at 932-2997.

The May Manna Mission Meal is Tuesday May 27. The Manna Mission is a monthly hot meal available for anyone who desires a meal. The meal is served from 5 to 7 p.m.

The public is welcome and invited to participate in all these services and events.

First Southern Baptist Church

First Southern Baptist Church will host a revival at 6 p.m. today, 6 p.m. Saturday, May 17 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Reverend Shawn Crisman from Kento-Boo Baptist Church in Kentucky is the evangelist. Reverend Crisman has served as Senior Pastor at Smyrna Baptist Church in New Trenton as well as First Baptist Ross before his current tenure as Senior Pastor at Kento-Boo. Bro. Shawn is also a graduate of Southern Seminary in Louisville and teaches seminary classes at Temple Baptist University in Cincinnati. Come join us for inspiring and challenging messages as well as uplifting and God-exalting music. The church is located at 1159 S. Airport Road in Rushville.
