Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation recently presented two RCHS graduates
each with a $500 scholarship.
"Every year, the Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation gives scholarships to local high school seniors who are furthering their education in a health care field," said Interim Director Michele Gettinger, Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation. "We had several seniors apply this year!"
According to the Foundation's Scholarship Committee Chair Paul Barada Sr., "There were many qualified applicants this year, and choosing the winners was not an easy task for our committee."
The first recipient is Brittany Harcourt, who will be attending Franklin College where she plans to become a Wellness Coordinator.
The second recipient is Kaylee Yager, who will be attending the University of Evansville where she plans to become a Physical Therapist.
"Our major source of funding for the scholarship fund comes from the annual Rush Memorial Hospital Golf Outing and from individual donors throughout the year," Michele noted. "It is great to see local people benefit from the generosity of others!"
The Rush Memorial Hospital Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to high
school seniors pursuing a career in the health care industry, as well as Rush Memorial Hospital employees who are continuing their education in the health care field.
