Citizens State Bank puts their blue jeans on

RUSHVILLE — Citizens State Bank employees joined together for the third year in support of the Lee National Denim Days to raise over $1,000 for breast cancer research.

It was “Casual Friday” for each employee who wanted to wear jeans to work for the day in exchange for a $5 donation.

Bank employees were also given the opportunity to sell blue jean pockets all week. This allowed customers the chance to participate in this abundant fundraiser for a $1 donation, putting their stamp on the fight against breast cancer.

Also, for some additional fun, each branch was in competition to win “Best Participation” which included several different categories. Congratulations to the New Castle Raintree Branch!

Since 1996, Lee National Denim Day has helped raise over $86 million for the fight against breast cancer. All donations help the American Cancer Society discover new ways to find, prevent, treat and cure breast cancer.

Breast cancer has touched almost every single person in some way or another as one of every eight women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime-that’s one every three minutes.

Citizens State Bank would like to send a special “Thank You” to all of its hometown customers who participated in making a difference by believing in the power of giving back!
