WorkOne offering National Career Readiness Certificate

Rushville Republican

RUSHVILLE — WorkOne will be offering the National Career Readiness Certificate assessment beginning April 17.

The assessment will be offered the third Wednesday of every month beginning in April.

The assessment will be given at the lower level of the Rush County Courthouse, 101 E. Second Street, Rushville. All interested individuals must go to the Rush County WorkOne Center at 103 N. Morgan Street to register for the assessment.

The ACT’s National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) is a portable credential that demonstrates achievement and a certain level of workplace employability skills.

Individuals can earn the NCRC by taking three WorkKeys® assessments:

l Applied Mathematics

l Locating Information

l Reading for Information

WorkKeys assessments measure “real world” skills that employers believe are critical to job success. Test questions are based on situations in the everyday work world.

NCRC offers the matching of talent with work, which helps people find jobs, companies find workers, and our nation’s economy grow and prosper.

Launched in 2006, today more than 1 million certificates have been issued and more than 40 states have statewide or regional certificate programs.
