Connolly wins Citizens State Bank 2012 RCHS Scholarship

RUSHVILLE — Congratulations to Leah Connolly as the winner of the 2012 Citizens State Bank Scholarship from Rushville Consolidated High School. She is the daughter of Julie and Andrew Connolly.

Leah has been very active as a student during her past four years of high school as well as being involved throughout her community. She provided great leadership to others as a member of the Business Professionals of America and Freshman Mentoring. Leah was also involved in Student Council, S.A.D.D., Cheerblock, Soccer, 4-H and Junior Leaders.

In support of her community, Leah has been a volunteer for the domestic violence crisis shelter, Phoenix House, with above average performance. She plans to attend Indiana State University with a major in Business.

Citizens' leadership wished her all the best with her future education.

In the importance of education throughout this community, Citizens State Bank proudly awards seven high school scholarships to one graduate from each area they serve. The scholarship program began in 1985 and was

designed to encourage individuals to pursue a higher education and give them recognition for their accomplishments.

A committee comprised of school officials, counselors and teachers at each school determines the recipients.
