MainSource Bank to open branch in Shelbyville
Daryl R. Tressler, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer recently announced that MainSource Bank will be opening a full service branch in Shelbyville near the intersection of 1-74 and SR 44, with expected completion in the third quarter of 2008. The branch will be a provider of traditional deposit services including a full service 24-hour ATM, as well as consumer and commercial loans, with an emphasis on customizing individual loan requests. The opening of the branch is subject to various regulatory approvals.
MainSource Bank is a community focused financial services company that, including the Shelbyville location will operate 66 offices throughout Indiana. MainSource Bank offers the convenience and service of a traditional community bank combined with complete financial product offerings including: checking and savings accounts, consumer and commercial loans, investment and trust services, as well as insurance. It serves most of the counties surrounding Shelby, including Decatur, Rush, Johnson, Marion and Bartholomew counties, which provides added convenience for customers traveling for business or personal reasons.
MainSource Bank also announced that Terry Smith has accepted the position of market president for the Shelby County market. Smith is a native of Shelby County and currently resides in Shelbyville with his wife, and their three daughters. He is a graduate of Morristown High School and obtained his Bachelors Degree from Hanover College. He brings more than 14 years of banking experience to MainSource in addition to his devoted community involvement. He is a second term Shelby County Council president, the past president of MainStreet Shelbyville, past board member of SCUFFY, past board member of Bears of Blue River Festival, and is an active youth athletics coach.
