Keith Hoeing of Rushville, Amy Wagoner of Shelbyville and Jesse Cameron of Greensburg have earned $1,000 U.S. Savings Bonds from Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance through its Teenage Driver Safety and Education Program.

Started in 1993, the Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance program is designed especially for youthful drivers ages 16 and 17. It encourages young drivers across the state to take responsibility behind the wheel and rewards them financially for a safe driving record.

Teenagers enrolling in the program promise to wear their seat belts and to drive safely without a traffic accident or violation for there years. They also promise to study safe driving materials provided by the company.

Over the last 15 years about 38,000 Indiana teenagers have signed up for the program and since 1996 more than half of them have received the reward.

Teenagers with valid Indiana drivers licenses can enroll in the program if they do not already have losses or traffic violations on their driving records and are insured by IFB insurance. Call your local IFB insurance office for information about enrolling in the program.
