The original 122-year-old covered bridge was destroyed by a June 2008 tornado, although more than 50 percent of material was recovered and will be used during the restoration project.

Ryan and Stetson Smith, El Paso, Texas, are proud to announce the birth of their son, Anderson Kenneth Smith. He was born May 25, 2009, weighing six pounds 11 ounces and was 19 inches long.

The Smiths have been living in Waco where Ryan serves with the U.S. Army as a combat medic. He was deployed to Iraq June 1 where he will be serving his country for 12 months.

Grandparents include Terry and Brenda Smith of Rush County. Great-grandparents include Bob and Ruby Osborne and Mabel Smith.
