50th anniversary: Emmett Clyde and Margie Kay Cordray

---- — Clyde and Margie Cordray celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 28, 2013. They were grade school and high school sweethearts.

Clyde and the former Margie Evans were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rushville on June 28, 1963.

Clyde retired from Novelty Incorporated in Evansville. Margie was an assistant vice president and mortgage manager for the Rushville National Bank for 23 years.

They are the parents of Jennifer Blaisdell of Owensboro, Ky., Douglas Cordray, deceased and Joshua Craven who served in the Marines stationed in Jacksonville, N.C., and is now retired.

They have three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

To celebrate their anniversary, they were with family in Indianapolis and attended the High School All-Star Game between the Indiana all Stars and the Kentucky all Stars played at Banker’s Life. Their nephew, Kevin Leising, was one of the coaches of the winning Indiana All Stars.
