50th Wedding Anniversary: Qualls

RUSHVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Qualls will celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 9, 2012. They were married June 9, 1962, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Colorado Springs, Colo., with Rev. R.O. Covey officiating. The former Rushville residents now reside in Bluffton, Ind.

The couple is retired from Rush County Schools where Jerry was a teacher at Rushville Consolidated High School and Ranae was a library media specialist at Milroy, Arlington and Mays Elementary Schools. They also worked in pastoral ministry and church administration for more than 30 years.

The couple has two children, Deborah (David) Shepherd of Bluffton and Jeffrey (Suzane) Qualls of Apollo Beach, Fla., and two grandchildren, Daniel and Darah Shepherd.

After a trip to Mackinaw Island, Mich., their children will be honoring them with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at River Terrace Estates, 200 Caylor Blvd., Bluffton, Ind., where Jerry serves as Chaplain. Friends and family are invited to celebrate with them.
