Published April 28, 2008 10:28 am - John and Dorothy (Bannister) Hunter of Rushville celebrated their 60th anniversary April 27 with a family dinner at the Kopper Kettle Restaurant in Morristown. The dinner was hosted by the couple’s children.

John and Dorothy (Bannister) Hunter of Rushville celebrated their 60th anniversary April 27 with a family dinner at the Kopper Kettle Restaurant in Morristown. The dinner was hosted by the couple’s children.

The Hunters were married April 30, 1948 at First Methodist Church in Oglesby, Texas. He is retired as a plant manager at International Furniture Co. in Rushville. She is retired as a secretary at Hughes and Young, attorneys at law in Rushville.

The couples has five children, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The children are Ann (Steve) Flint of Indianapolis, Jean (Larry) Johnson of Rushville, Jan (Brad) Sutter of Indianapolis, Steve (Pat) Hunter of Rushville and Bill (Paula) Hunter of Suzhou, China.
