The former Wanda Hicks and Homer Crabtree were married March 15, 1958 at the Assembly of God Church in New Castle with Rev. Joseph Lack officiating. Mr. Crabtree was employed at Big Blue Store in Rushville until retiring in 2002. His wife was employed at Millers Merry Manor in Rushville until retiring in 2000. The couple has five children, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The children are Alan (and wife Carolyn) Crabtree of New Castle, Rhonda Barton of Rushville, Brian (and wife Tammy) Crabtree of Rushville, Paul (and wife Euphemia) of Milroy, Paula Miller of Mt. Summit.
