New events headed to the F.A.R.M. Show at the Ripley County Fairgrounds

RUSHVILLE — The F.A.R.M. Club of Southeastern Indiana is busy putting the final touches on their annual show which is scheduled for June 28-30 at the Ripley County Fairgrounds. Not only are they hosting the Indiana Chapter #7 I.H. show, they have also added several new grandstand events. Truck Drags and ATV Racing will be held on Thursday evening, followed by Go Kart Racing on Friday Evening and the grandstand events will conclude with all day tractor pulls on Saturday hosted by the Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling series. The group is expecting over two hundred International Harvester items to be on display but wants to make people aware that all makes and models are welcome. The 4-H tractor driving contest will be held and the Boy Scouts of America will be present as they work to earn their Farm Mechanics merit badge.

Back by popular demand will be our flea market/craft/toy vendors, our “Tradin’ Post” where we will help you sell your unwanted items, our Kiddie Pedal pulls and our Parade of Power through downtown Osgood. Rick Lane Acoustic Show and the Hoosier Hoe downers Cloggers will also be there for your musical entertainment. The Ripley County Homemakers will be hosting a quilt show as well as having their delicious bake sale items. Bring your appetite as several delicious food vendors will be on hand as well as that ever popular Amish homemade ice cream.

Our purpose is an organization dedicated to the collection, exhibiting, restoration and preservation of farming and antique related equipment to retain its historical value. The club wants to preserve the heritage associated with the farm and its equipment along with the skills and knowledge of operation that will be lost if it is not captured and recorded.

If you are interested in learning more about the show or how to join our organization, check out our website at www.farmclubonline.com or “like” us on Face Book at Farm Club of Southeastern IN.
