RUSHVILLE — Farm Credit Mid-America, an agricultural lending cooperative serving farmers, rural residents and agribusinesses throughout Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee, contributed $500 to support the 2014 Rushville FFA banquet, themed “Legacy of Leadership.”
Farm Credit’s donation was used to present a gift to each graduating senior and retiring chapter officer to commemorate the evening.
The National FFA Organization makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
“Supporting our communities is one of our highest priorities at Farm Credit,” said Gary Coleman, regional vice president for Farm Credit. “The youth who have participated in FFA have spent time developing valuable skills including leadership, responsibility and public speaking. These qualities help prepare them to be the highest caliber future employees, farmers and leaders in the community. We’re thrilled to reward them for their hard work and offer them best wishes as they progress.”
